In this installment of our Embroidery Medic series, we’ll be diving into a design that has registration problems and use some digitizing theory and editing features to improve the stitch quality. Although it’s not an overly complex design, it does have small detailed elements, plus it’s being embroidered on a knit fabric which can promote distortion. This design was professionally digitized for the embroiderer in question and went through many edits by the time they reached out to me to see if it could be recovered. As usual in these videos, I always try to use the editing features within my Hatch software, and not use the digitizing tools to fix the problems. Although, this would have been one of those situations where re-digitizing would have been much faster and produced a better result.
